“We cater for the individual, but also for everyone,” says Ivan Corzo, Europe Senior Marketing Manager of the Palladium Hotel Group. One of Spain’s leading hoteliers, the group has 50 hotels across Spain, Mexico, Sicily, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and Brazil, with 11 brands: Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts, Palladium Hotels, Palladium Boutique Hotels, Fiesta Hotels & Resorts, Ushuaïa Unexpected Hotels, Ayre Hotels, Only YOU Hotels, Hard Rock Hotels in Ibiza and Tenerife, Bless Collection Hotels and TRS Hotels. Each is tailored to a specific type of guest and their needs. For instance, many TRS Hotels and Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts are based in the same wonderful locations, but TRS Hotels is adults-only, while Grand Palladium Hotels & Resorts cater for families, with facilities and entertainment to suit. The “Dine Around” programme enables guests at one venue to sample what a neighbouring establishment has to offer. Further options include boutique city hotels, beach resort getaways for families, partygoer destinations in Ibiza, and hotels for massage and wellness lovers.
“What gives the group its identity are the shared values of beauty, luxury, excellence, commitment, know-how, strength, gratitude and devotion,” says Ivan. The concept of “Infinite Indulgence” is shared across the group: the freedom to treat yourself in a host of international à la carte restaurants, or at any of the hotel’s bars, while also enjoying access to the beach, gardens and spectacular views. With the strapline “your inner child is the only kid you will hear”, TRS Hotels offer a sophisticated atmosphere for couples, complete with butler service and 24-hour room service. “The pools, restaurants and living spaces are all designed with a romantic break with your loved one in mind,” says Ivan.
Opened in November 2018, the TRS Coral Hotel and Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort & Spa in Mexico is a fine example. Though only 20 minutes from Cancun city and 35 from the airport, it’s surrounded by virgin beach, mangroves and the exotic flora of Costa Mujeres. A network of canals allows guests to get around the resort by boat, creating a Venetian mood. Nearby are the stunning islands of Holbox and Mujeres, known for their pristine natural environments inhabited by flamingos, sea turtles and whale sharks, and the peninsula of Isla Blanca, with its stunning, secluded beaches and fine dining.
During the day, the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre offers guests the chance to extend their game using state-of-the-art professional facilities, while TRS Hotels clients also have free access to the wet areas of Zentropia Palladium Spa & Wellness. “It’s at night that the adult-focused facilities at TRS Hotels come into their own,” says Ivan. “We have introduced a Chic Cabaret & Restaurant at the new TRS Coral Hotel, in Costa Mujeres, and at TRS Yucatan Hotel, further south, on the Mexican Riviera Maya. We’re bringing a new level of sophisticated entertainment to a beach resort hotel.”
With three performances a week, the cabaret dance show features choreography and music from the 1950s to the present, with plenty of upbeat Latin influence. Dining is coordinated with the cabaret, and a glamorous evening’s entertainment starts in style with cocktails from an extravagantly varied menu. “Dinner dances to the beat of the show, with an array of signature dishes that complements the variety of the performance,” says Ivan. “By bringing together an unspoiled, internationally distinguished beach resort, we’ve created a new standard in hospitality.”
